Parkway Public School Addition

Markham

A thriving private school presently renting from a local school board has outgrown its present facility and requires a flagship for its North American base. We are retained by the J. Addison School and are currently designing a 70,000sf school for 600 students grades 1-12 for the International Baccalaureate program. The school will include the latest wireless technology integrated into its academic curriculum, including “hot” zones in its central forum which will allow students to communicate in real time with associated schools in other parts of the world. The school will include a residence for 100 students and a multi-media room made available to local industries for training purposes. This site includes the York Region District School Board’s Heritage School House, which has been integrated into the design of the campus. Services included Official Plan and Zoning Amendments and Site Plan Approval.
